NCT’s Jeno is the first K-Pop idol to open a New York Fashion Week show
NCT’s Jeno made his New York Fashion Week runway debut, and made history at that.
He became the first K-Pop idol to open a show at the prestigious fashion event, walking the runway for Peter Do’s inaugural menswear collection for Spring/Summer 2023.
Jeno’s chic trending look featured a backless suit, trousers with slits, and heeled boots.
“It was a natural choice to have Jeno open the show,” the New York-based designer was quoted by Soompi.
“Jeno embodies the Peter Do man—multifaceted, confident, and a trailblazer.”
Some of Jeno’s fellow SM Entertainment artists were also present. Rookies Shohei and Eunseok also walked for Peter’s runway, and Red Velvet’s Seulgi watched from the front row.
Posting a photo with the designer on Instagram, Jeno said, “It was a really special [moment].”
Aside from walking the runway, Jeno was able to attend the Vogue World event. He was photographed with Jared Leto, Dove Cameron, Sabrina Carpenter, and Ellie Goulding.
