Imee Marcos wears Filipiñana embellished with gifts from her father for Bongbong's inauguration

Senator Imee Marcos went for gold at the inauguration ceremony of her brother Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

She attended the ceremony in a blue Filipiñana gown that was embellished with eye-catching accessories.

According to her official Instagram page, these accessories were actually restored lockets, chains and pendants that were gifted to her by her late father and former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

Additionally, the "sustainable" gown was designed by Imee herself and created by Rem Divino.

Imee's face mask likewise featured intricate gold designs.

Meanwhile, Bongbong donned a rayadillo-inspired Barong Tagalog designed by multi-awarded designer Pepito Albert for his inauguration.

Bongbong took his oath as the 17th President of the Philippines at the National Museum in Manila.

With 58% of the votes in Eleksyon 2022, he is the first Philippine president to be elected by a majority since the EDSA Revolution, a historical event that forced his family out of power 36 years ago. —JCB, GMA News
