Kim wore a sheer, shimmery dress — specifically, the dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in her 1962 performance of “Happy Birthday, Mr. President.”

Pete meanwhile wore a classic tux, and donned a pair of sunglasses.

The Met Gala's theme this year is "Gilded Glamour."

Kim and Pete started dating after they did a skit together in "Saturday Night Live" last October.
