Maine Mendoza fronts L’Officiel Philippines’ anniversary issue
It’s been a year since fashion magazine L’Officiel started publishing quarterly in the Philippines. To commemorate its anniversary, L’Officiel will have Maine Mendoza on its cover for Spring 2022, showing a different side of the Kapuso star that we haven’t seen before.
“Has it really been seven years since she entered the otherwise old-school, male-dominated local comedy scene? It feels like yesterday, yet so much has changed,” said the magazine’s Instagram caption as Maine was revealed to be its cover girl.
On the cover, the actress sported a fierce look with her hair down, wearing a Fendi cream-toned puffed sleeved dress matched with a nude pair of Tutum pumps in a grass-field area at Palacio de Memoria.
“Maine Mendoza would probably rise to TikTok stardom if she weren’t already famous. After all, this was how it all began for the comedian and TV host—with a series of amusing clips that broke the internet,” the magazine described Maine.
The magazine cover was photographed by Charisma Lico, with the creative direction and styling of Loris Peña. Meanwhile, Maine’s makeup and hair were masterpieces of Robbie Pinera and Celeste Tuviera.
“Despite carrying the weight of the industry’s expectations on her shoulders, this funny girl is determined to define her path while still being able to let her hair down,” said L’Officiel. – Hermes Joy Tunac/RC, GMA News
