‘Single’s Inferno’ star Song Jia admits she wore fake designer items, issues apology

"Single's Inferno" star Song Jia, also known as Freezia, has issued an apology for wearing fake designer items.

Jia, who caught attention as she starred on the hit Netflix reality dating series, drew flak online when netizens started to question the authenticity of the designer goods she was often seen wearing on the show and on her social media posts.

After much speculation, Jia, who rose to fame on social media for her beauty and fashion content, addressed the concern in a statement released on Instagram.

"First, I sincerely apologize to everyone who has been disappointed and hurt because of me," she said on her hand-written note, as translated by AllKPop.

"Some of the comments currently being made about the fake designer products I wore on social media and on 'Single's Inferno' are true. I'm really sorry," said Jia.

"I apologize once again for any situation caused by the infringement of the designers' creations and ignorance of copyright."

Jia said as someone who dreamt of launching her own brand, she vowed to "reflect deeply."

The online sensation also assured the public that her content with exposed fakes had already been deleted.

"I also apologize to the brands who were harmed because of me. I sincerely apologize to everyone, including the fans, subscribers, and brand representatives who have been hurt because of me. I will live more responsibly in the future," she added. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
