Darren Criss wears bespoke Francis Libiran suit on the cover of his new Christmas album
Hollywood star Darren Criss is about to drop his Christmas album titled "A Very Darren Crissmas," and he's looking as dashing as ever in a bespoke Francis Libiran ensemble on the cover.
The multi-awarded Fil-Am actor, singer, and musician once again collaborated with the world-renowned Filipino designer who especially created for him a glistening wine and gray silk brocade suit with a luxurious velvet lapel.
According to Francis, the look was splendidly inspired by Darren's distinct character.
"A rich, bold color picked out for him matches his impeccably sharp person," said the designer in a press release.
"The design of the suit is elegantly unorthodox, highlighting a part of him who daringly embraces the beauty of being different."
As spectacular this collaboration might be, this is not the first time the Pinoy fashion icon has dressed the multi-faceted Hollywood superstar.
Francis was also behind the elaborately embroidered Filipino barong Darren wore when he got married to Mia Swier in 2019, a look that was featured on the pages of Vogue magazine.
Darren also wore an intricately beaded Francis Libiran bomber jacket during the world premiere of Disney’s blockbuster film Aladdin in Los Angeles.
Their friendship dates back to 2019, when they met for the first time during the 76th Golden Globe Awards where Darren won Best Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie for "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story."
Francis expressed respect and admiration for Darren's humility and kindness and told him that it would be an honor as a Filipino designer to dress him up.
The actor and singer is set to drop "A Very Darren Crissmas" on Oct. 8, but it's already available for pre-order on several digital platforms. – Margaret Claire Layug/RC, GMA News
