‘Squid Game’ star Jung Ho Yeon named Louis Vuitton global ambassador
After starring on the hit Netflix series "Squid Game" and gaining millions of Instagram followers in a span of a week, model-actress Jung Ho Yeon is now a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton!
The luxury fashion brand announced the news on Wednesday, saying Ho Yeon was joining its team as the new global house ambassador for fashion, watches, and jewelry.
"Perfectly embodying the independent Louis Vuitton woman, the Netflix Squid Game star embarks on this new journey with the Maison after first gracing the runway and being featured in a ready-to-wear campaign in 2017," it said.
Nicolas Ghesquière, creative director of Louis Vuitton's women's collections, praised the actress and model for her talent and personality.
"I immediately fell in love with Ho Yeon's great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago," said the director.
"Squid Game," which premiered on Netflix last month, is a South Korean series that follows 456 participants who play deadly children's games in the hopes of winning a cash prize worth 45.6 billion won. Ho Yeon plays Kang Sae Byeok or Player No. 067.
