First batch of IKEA goods arrives in the Philippines
We're one step closer to getting IKEA goods!
IKEA Philippines just announced that its first batch of furniture has arrived in its flagship store in Pasay City.
Posting photos of the delivery truck, the company's Facebook account said, "Today, IKEA Philippines celebrates an important milestone! Our first batch of IKEA range has finally arrived in IKEA Pasay City."
"We can’t wait to unbox these and make them available to the many Filipinos!" it added.
Swedish company IKEA first announced that it was opening a store in the Philippines in 2018. Aside from the furniture it's known around the world for, it also hinted at plans on selling food products.
In February this year, the logo was spotted on its store facade.
The new outlet located at the Mall of Asia Complex is set to be the biggest in the world.
IKEA Philippines is expected to open in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2021, with its online operations to begin ahead of the opening of the physical store. —JCB, GMA News
