Ruru Madrid on comparisons to BTS' V: 'To be compared with an icon like Taehyung is such an honor'

Ruru Madrid took to Twitter to thank everybody who compared him to BTS' V aka Taehyung, saying it was unexpected.

"To be compared with an icon like Taehyung is such an honor, that is why my heart is full until now" Ruru wrote.

In a separate tweet, the addressed the BTS armys "who showed support worldwide, thank you so much. I am with you as we celebrate love and success for BTS."

Ruru trended last week after he uploaded a mirror selfie that showed him wearing a face mask, sunglasses, and an all black ensemble. To many BTS fans, he looked just like Taehyung aka V.

On WeVerse, Big Hit Entertainment's fan community platform, Ruru's photo was uploaded, which V couldn't help but notice and comment on. He said in Korean, which is roughly translated to English, “Ah… Seeing things like this makes me think if I should give up on working out.”

Seems like Ruru is all over the internet these days. On Saturday, Bianca Umali posted a photo of the two of them, with Ruru commenting, "Kiligs." — LA, GMA News
