Uniqlo unveils lightweight, reusable face mask
Uniqlo has finally unveiled its much anticipated AIRism face mask.
The Japanese apparel brand, owned by Fast Retailing, said the new mask is hitting Japan stores on June 19. Uniqlo Philippines has yet to announce if it will be distributing the mask.

According to the Fast Retailing website, Uniqlo's AIRism mask has a triple-layer structure which features a high-performance filter that has a bacterial filtration efficiency of 99 percent. It supposedly blocks droplets, bacteria, virus-contaminated particles, and pollen.
The UPF 40 rating of the outer fabric means it also blocks 90 percent of ultraviolet rays.
To meet people's demands for reusable masks, the AIRism mask will be machine washable. According to the website, it retains efficacy after 20 washes.
Uniqlo also claims the mask is "silky smooth" and comfortable.
The masks will come in three sizes (small, medium, large), and will be sold in Japan for ¥990 for three pieces.
Uniqlo announced its plans to produce face masks last May. The company had previously been wary of making face masks, but a spokeswoman said it changed its mind after receiving many requests from customers to make them.
