Katrina Llegado landed as a finalist during the national costume competition of the 2020 Reina Hispanomamericana for her Ibong Adarna-inspired outfit at the pageant in Bolivia.

"FILIPINAS! We made it as finalist in the National Costume competition! It was really a tough one, all the girls presented amazing traje tipico!" the 21-year-old beauty queen wrote in a caption.

Her national costume was a tribute to the mythical Ibong Adarna, a bird from Filipino folklore whose songs were said to cure any kind of illness.

In her official pageant photos, Katrina looked fierce in green and yellow as she wore a feathery bodysuit, a magnificent headdress and boots.

The 2020 Miss Reina Hispanoamericana coronation night will be held on February 8, Saturday, in Bolivia.

Katrina is hoping to be the second Filipina to win the coveted title, after Winwyn Marquez took home the crown in 2017. —Angelica Y. Yang/MGP, GMA News
