Samantha Lo slays in Miss Grand International National Costume wearing her old Bb. Pilipinas gown
Samantha Lo slayed at the Miss Grand International National Costume Competition — even though the gown she was originally meant to wear was left behind in Paris.
The beauty queen once again donned the national costume she wore at the Binibining Pilipinas National Costume Competition earlier this year.
While the main dress was noticeably the same, the new headdress gave it a different look.
In a Facebook post, fashion designer Edwin Uy showed the gown that Samantha was meant to debut at the National Costume Competition.
It was a beautiful, flowy gold gown with detailed butterfly sleeves. However, it seems that the dress could be opened to reveal a more intricate bodice.
Despite Samantha not being able to wear it, Edwin said the beauty queen gave her old gown a "wow factor performance."
"This costume was left in Paris together with her other things. Anyway, Sam was great in the costume she used. Even if she used it already in Bb. Pilipinas, she gave it wow factor performance," he said.
Samantha ran into some issues on the way to Caracas for the Miss Grand International pageant.
She had to fly back to Manila after being detained by immigration officials in Paris due to issues with her Philippine passport.
