Heart Evangelista shares summer fashion tips

With the heat starting to bear down on us, it's a challenge finding the perfect balance between style and comfort.

But Kapuso actress and style icon Heart Evangelista says that being comfortable is actually the key to looking good.

"We never suffer just for fashion. At the end of the day you want to be comfortable, and when you feel comfortable you will look good," she told GMA News' Cata Tibayan in a report on Balitanghali on Saturday.

“It goes back to kung kumportable ka sa sinusuot mo, kahit maraming abubut yan, it won't look awkward and will look very natural,” she added.

She also said to "own your look," be it a sporty style, or a floral theme.

Heart’s personal staples are white, trendy dresses, perfect for the summer.

But she also doesn’t mind colors in her outfits.

“OK din mag-splash of colors so it depends really sa mood,” she said.

Heart also reminded women  to maximize the use of clothes by reusing and restyling them, like putting an oversized skirt on top of a dress.

“I create another look para masulit ko yung binili ko, so yeah, para-paraan,” she said. —Jessica Bartolome/KG, GMA News
