Senator Sonny Angara's wife Tootsy wears prom dress from 1991 to SONA 2017
There's no memo that says you can't wear your prom dress to this year's State of the Nation Address and so Senator Sonny Angara's wife Tootsy, took out her junior prom dress from 26 years ago and wore it.
Needless to say, she totally slayed the red carpet.
No one suspected that it was a two-decade-old dress, with Tootsy pairing it with metallic pointy heels, wearing her hair up, carrying a white rectangular clutch, and making it very contemporary.
The Filipiniana dress was designed by Filipino fashion designer Pitoy Moreno.
On a photo she posted side by side with her husband Senator Angara, Tootsy said she ended up wearing this dress because she didn't have the chance to get a new one made. It still fits perfectly, Tootsy!
"At the opening of the 2nd regular session of the 17th congress.. didn't get to prepare and ended up wearing this Filipiniana Pitoy Moreno dress that I wore to my junior prom in 1991 ( 26 years ago) ignore the fit as my 42 year old body is definitely different from my 15 year old self," she wrote on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Senator Angara also shared a photo of the two of them, poking fun at how nothing of his from high school fits anymore.
"My wife wore her prom dress from 1991. Ako kahit medyas ng high school Di na kasya, life is unfair #sona #senado#sona2017."
