Ateneo accepts 246 female transferees into Senior High School
Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) has accepted 246 female transfer students for the academic year 2016 to 2017.
According to an article published the school website, 331 of the 1,904 incoming Grade 11 students transferees were accepted.
A total of 85 males and 246 females comprise the transfer students in the pioneering co-ed batch. Of the total, 101 were awarded scholarships and financial grants.
Ateneo opened its Senior High School program last year as part of the reconstruction of its educational program brought about by the implementation of the K to 12 program, which added two years to high school education.
AHSH was opened to incoming Grade 11 Ateneo boys and 300 transferees. The number of accepted applicants for the incoming school year, which exceeded the allotted slots originally set for transferees, will be finalized upon confirmation and enrollment of the transferees. —Jessica Bartolome/JST, GMA News
