'The Last of Us' renewed for Season 3

"The Last of Us" is getting a third season!
HBO renewed the series ahead of its Season 2 premiere on April 13.
According to a report on Variety, creator Craig Mazin said the second season "exceeded even our most ambitious goals."
He also said the show has "one or two more seasons" because every episode "gets big."
Co-creator Neil Druckmann, who was also the writer and creative director of the original games, said that the show has been a "career highlight" for him.
"I am grateful for the fans’ enthusiastic and overwhelming support," he added.
Developed by Naughty Dog, "The Last of Us" is based on the 2013 action-adventure Playstation game that features Joel, a smuggler escorting teenage girl Ellie across post-apocalyptic America. Together they fight hostile cannibalistic creatures.
The first season of "The Last of Us" premiered in 2023.
