Margielyn Didal is now a playable character in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater video game

Margielyn Didal is in "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" video game!

The Filipino Olympic skater is one of the new pro characters part of the 3 + 4 franchise.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater posted a teaser video featuring Margielyn, showing the character skating and performing different tricks in a park and a larger area next to a bay.

The athlete introduced herself as from Cebu, Philippines and shared her skating influences.

"I'm excited to be in the game and other people to use me in the Tony Hawk game," Margielyn said.

She also has this advice for kids who want to try skating or other sports: "Just have fun and don't forget why you started."

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is now available for preorder and will be released on July 11.

Margielyn and skateboarding legend Tony Hawk met at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and posed for a photo together.

Margielyn won the skateboarding gold medal for the Philippines in the 2018 Asian Games.

After missing the Paris Olympics in mid-2024 due to a foot injury she was recovering from in 2022, and fell short of the needed points for qualification.

She returned to compete at the Red Bull Buenos Aires Conquest in November 2024.
