Wanderland 2025: 10 highlights of the festival's memorable 10th year

The Wanderland Music and Arts Festival 2025 has come to an end with priceless memories to keep for the attendees.

Celebrating its 10th year, the annual festival once again brought together a vibrant community of music lovers for tunes from various genres, as well as nonstop art and good energy for two days at the Filinvest Concert Grounds in Muntinlupa City.

Whether you missed it or want to relive the moments, here are 10 unique highlights that made Wanderland's 10th anniversary a truly unforgettable experience.

1. 92914's dreamy 'Sunset'

The South Korean duo 92914 performed as the sun was setting, the perfect backdrop for their electronic pop songs, including "Sunset," of course.

It was their first time in the Philippines, and their dreamy songs set the tone for a day filled with nothing but good vibes.

2. Mayonnaise brought the house down

Mayonnaise performed an hour-long set to remember. The band brought the house down during their mid-day set on Day 1, with showmanship like no other as they spoke and commanded the crowd and had everybody singing and dancing along with their hands up in the air.

One of the country's top bands performed hits like "Synesthesia," "Kapag Lasing Malambing," "Jopay," and, surprisingly, a cover of "Laklak" by Teeth.

3. Art is everywhere

Art was literally everywhere at Wanderland.

The Filinvest Concert Grounds in Alabang had installations by Filipino graffiti artist Distort Monsters and designer One/Zero. Artists Yok Joaquin, Jethro Olba, Jill Arteche, and Ross Du also created art pieces on large round boards during the festival.

Wanderland also organized Goody Dance Shoes, an area for all-day dancing with DJ sets curated by Groove Manila and UNKWNN.

4. A spot for 'anik-anik' lovers

At the Wander Market, Russet Accessories delighted Wanderers with their customizable pieces of jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, rings, keychains, bag tags, and various "anik-anik" charms and pendants for personalization.

Aside from Russet Accessories, the Wander Market also spotlighted local clothing and accessories vendors, books, and on-the-spot portrait sessions.

5. Dayglow, Jollibee, and fan love

It was Dayglow's first time in the Philippines, and he had the best time rocking out with his Pinoy fans.

The American indie pop wore a Jollibee shirt and, later on, a Jollibee crew uniform. He greeted everyone with "Kumusta ka, Philippines!" and would say "Salamat po" after songs.

Dayglow said he was "So stoked to finally be here." He shared that soon after the release of his "album from my bedroom when I was 17 called 'Fuzzybrain,' it changed my life."

"And I remember so early on, one of the first countries that was ever like, you know, 'come to blank,' was 'come to the Philippines.' So someone out there was my first Filipino fan, so thank you."

Before ending his set, Dayglow gave out several "Mahal kita."

6. The Daniel Caesar

Daniel Caesar was Day 1's headliner, and he told stories through songs, a small choir of backup singers, and a higher stage set-up with lights to set the mood.

He made quite the entrance by having a camera following him from backstage all the way to the performance.

The singer was "So happy to be back" in the Philippines.

"It's been a long week for me, so I need you guys to be really loud. I need you guys to turn it up," he said. "We're off to a great start."

Daniel performed his top songs like "Entropy" and "Ocho Rios." Then, for tracks like "Best Part," Get You," and "Always," he let the audience sing full verses.

"That was beautiful, you guys are beautiful," he said.

When Daniel said goodbye and exited the stage, everyone thought he was finished. But another camera followed him into his tent, where a mic and acoustic guitar awaited him. Daniel gave fans one last treat as he performed "Indecision," an unofficial release, from his tent.

7. 'Okay na 'to' – The Paper Kites

The Paper Kites surely knew how to tickle the humor of their Filipino fans, as the band's vocalist Sam Bentley uttered the trending line "Okay na 'to" after fine-tuning his guitar. The crowd went wild and gave their laughter at the unexpected Mommy Grace Tanfelix x The Paper Kites crossover.

Before ending their set, The Paper Kites brought on stage Moira Dela Torre for a surprise performance of "Nothing More Than That."

"We really want to find an artist in Manila that could come and sing a song with us, and we think we found somebody that you might like," Sam said of his intro for the Filipina singer.

8. Plain White T's first time in the Philippines

Plain White T's marked their first time performing in front of the Filipino crowd at the Wanderland Festival 2025, and it was nothing short of immaculate vibes.

The American pop-rock band performed their famous song "Hey There Delilah" and dedicated "1, 2, 3, 4" to their Filipino fans.

"We feel a lot of love from this crowd, so thank you guys for being here, hanging with the Plain White T's," said the band's vocalist, Tom Higgenson.

9. Hello Honne, Hello Philippines!

Honne, the electric duo composed of James Hatcher and Andy Clutterbuck, returned to Manila as the headliner for Wanderland Festival 2025's Day 2.

As always, Honne engaged the crowd with a sing-along to their top hits "Day 1," "Location Unknown," "Crying Over You," and "Warm on a Cold Night."

James also surprised Wanderers with a fantastic guitar solo set while wearing a "Poco" mascot costume, a fictional character on the cover of Honne's latest album "Ouch."

"We love it here. That's why we keep coming back. We feel very privileged to stand on the [Karpos] stage once and this [Wanderland's main stage] twice," Andy said.

"It really means the world to us. We love you," he added.

10. 'Sobrang Latina! Monyeka!' – Honne

Apart from The Paper Kites, Honne also knew a thing or two about the current pop culture trends in the Philippines.

In the middle of their set, James told the crowd, "Philippines, you truly are 'Sobrang Latina! Monyeka!'"

"Wow! We love it," he added.

And to make things more special for the finale of Wanderland Festival 2025, a proposal happened during Honne's set, and it was a successful "yes!"

"Congratulations! That's so nice," Andy said as the cameras panned to the couple and shared a sweet hug.

Through the years, Wanderland has brought together Filipino and international artists in a single festival and at a venue filled with art, food, drinks, and groups of art lovers.

Wanderland made an onsite comeback in 2023, with Phoenix and Carly Rae Jepsen as the headliners.

Previous Wanderland performers include Sunset Rollercoaster, Lola Amour, Hwasa, Rico Blanco, Men I Trust, Death Cab for Cutie, Oh, Flamingo!, Bon Iver, Gabba, Ena Mori, and many more.
