‘Lost Sabungeros’ to be screened at Cebu Normal University on March 28

“Lost Sabungeros” will make its way to the Visayas with a screening at Cebu Normal University.

GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures’ first-ever investigative documentary will be screened on March 28, Friday, at 1:15 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. The screenings are in collaboration with Cebu Normal University – Junior Broadcasters’ Alliance.

Tickets are now available via a QR code and form on the GMA Pictures' Facebook page.

"Lost Sabungeros" looks into one of the biggest scandals in the Philippines: the disappearances of over 30 sabungeros or cockfighters who have been missing since 2021.

It premiered at the QCinema International Film Festival in November 2024. Following the screening, Kapuso journalist Kara David led a talkback session with the film's production team and families of the missing cockfighters.

It was also screened at the University of the Philippines Film Institute in late November 2024.

"Lost Sabungeros" was supposed to premiere at the Cinemalaya in August 2024, but was canceled due to “security concerns.”
