'Among Us' to release 3D version, unveils game teaser
"Among Us" is getting a 3D version!
Not to be confused with the VR version, "Among Us 3D" turns the well-loved game into a first-person experience.
Developer Innersloth released the teaser trailer on Friday, showing the beans running in the hallways and holding meetings.
"Teamwork and betrayal in space… now in 3D! Experience the core Among Us gameplay you know and love — tasks, sabotages, Emergency Meetings, and venting — now in an extremely immersive, 3D environment where everything (yup, everything!) is close up and personal," the video description said.
"Among Us 3D" will allow Steam PC users to join cross-platform lobbies with VR players on Meta Quest, Steam VR, PlayStation VR 2, and PICO, Innersloth said.
"Fans can expect the same intense, fast-paced gameplay, complete with voice chat, new customization options, game modes, roles, and all the deception-filled fun—without the need for a VR headset."
"Among Us" is a popular game launched in 2018. The multiplayer game requires users to figure out which of their crew has been turned into an imposter before they sabotage the ship and kill everyone aboard.
After gaining popularity in 2020, it won Best Mobile Game and the Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards that year.
In 2023, it was announced that "Among Us" was getting an animated TV show. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
