Donald Petrie to film rom-com film 'The Last Resort' in the Philippines

American director Donald Petrie is set to direct “The Last Resort,” a romantic comedy film set in the Philippines.
According to a report on Variety, the upcoming film is written by Karen McCullah, who was born in the Philippines.
Petrie’s popular works include “Miss Congeniality” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” while McCullah wrote “10 Things I Hate About You” and “Legally Blonde.”
The report added that the rom-com film is about a hotel executive sent to scout a new resort location in the Philippines. She will soon meet Ben, a charming expatriate charter pilot.
Ernesto “Bong” Sta. Maria Jr. and Raja Collins are the producers, while Simon Heo, Akshay Mehta, and Rick Dugdale are co-producers.
