'The Last of Us' Season 2 to premiere on Max in April
"The Last of Us" Season 2 is coming this April!
Co-creator, writer, and executive producer Neil Druckmann made the announcement at Sony’s press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) on Tuesday. It will be available to stream on Max.
The highly anticipated second season will see the return of Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley as Maria.
It will pick up five years after the events of the first season. As they navigate a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind, Joel and Ellie are drawn into a conflict with each other.
Previously announced new cast includes Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Catherine O’Hara also guest stars.
Developed by Naughty Dog, "The Last of Us" is based on the 2013 action-adventure Playstation game that features Joel, a smuggler escorting teenage girl Ellie across post-apocalyptic America. Together they fight hostile cannibalistic creatures.
The first season of the live action adaptation is available to stream on Max. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
