Jason Momoa to play Lobo in DC's 'Supergirl' movie

Jason Momoa is making a return in the DC Universe!

After putting down Aquaman's trident, the actor will now take up the role of antihero Lobo in the upcoming film "Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow.”

On Instagram, Momoa shared a previous interview of him saying that Lobo "was always his favorite" and that if DC ever called him to play the role, then it's "a f-ck yeah."

In his caption, he simply wrote, "They called."

According to Variety, Craig Gillespie will direct the film, with screenplay by Ana Nogueira. It will also star Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hill, and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle.

"Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow" is the second film in James Gunn and Peter Safran's rebooted DC Universe. They are set to kick it off with "Superman," starring David Corenswet.

Momoa starred as the Arthur Curry in "Aquaman" in 2018, and the sequel, "Aquaman 2" in 2023. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
