'The Batman 2' starring Robert Pattinson delayed to 2027

The release date for the sequel film of “The Batman” has been pushed back to 2027.

This was confirmed by DC Studios co-chief James Gunn, who said the only reason for the delay is that “there isn’t a full script.”

On Threads, Gunn said that the film’s director, Matt Reeves, is committed to making “the best film he possibly can, and no one can accurately guess exactly how long a script will take to write.”

“Once there is a finished script, there is around two years for pre-production, shooting and post-production on big films.”

It was first confirmed in 2022 that the sequel is happening, with Robert Pattinson returning as the superhero. —Carby Basina/JCB, GMA Integrated News
