‘Squid Game’ season 2 is now streaming on Netflix!
“Squid Game” is finally back for its second season!
The new season of the hit Korean series started streaming on Netflix on December 26 with 7 episodes.
On X, Netflix also shared a short teaser of the sequel, announcing its premiere on the streaming platform.
“Let the games begin. #SquidGame2 is now playing,” it wrote.
On the day of its release, the hashtag #SquidGame2 topped the Philippine trend list with over 32,000 tweets on X as of writing.
According to a statement from Netflix, Season 2 will take place three years after the events of "Squid Game." Player 456 (Lee Jung Jae) remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport.
The series stars Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Jun, and Gong Yoo, who will all reprise their roles from Season 1.
It will also introduce new cast members, which include Yim Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Gyu Young, Lee Jin Uk, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Kang Ae Sim, Lee David, Choi Seung Hyun, Roh Jae Won, Jo Yu Ri, and Won Ji An.
Ahead of its premiere, the hit show is already making waves after being nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Television Series - Drama.
