Bretman Rock receives his own Filipino Barbie: ‘This is so inner child healing’

Bretman Rock couldn’t hide his excitement as he received his Filipino Barbie.

On TikTok, the Filipino-American social media personality shared an unboxing video of the Filipino-inspired Barbie doll.

“It’s so beautiful,” Bretman said. “This is why representation matters, everyone!” he added.

Bella Poarch later joined the video and said the Filipino Barbie looked like Bretman.

In a separate unboxing video on Threads, Bretman said the Barbie is “so me,” referencing the tattoo on the Filipino Barbie's arms. He has a similar tribal tattoo on his back.

“This is so inner child healing, like I literally used to steal my sister’s Barbies, and now I know my sister is going to steal this Barbie,” he said.

You guys !!! I got The Filipino Barbie desined by Carlyle Nuera ?????????? i love it sooo much

In October, Mattel released the Filipino Barbie, which was designed by Filipino-American artist and designer Carlyle Nuera.

Nuera’s design pays homage to his Filipino heritage with haute couture flair, from the doll’s crown inspired by the Philippine sun to her modernized corset top matched with dramatic terno sleeves.

Nuera was also the one who designed the Mutya Barbie in 2015.
