UST holds Paskuhan 2024 with OPM acts, carnival games, fireworks, and more
Students, alumni, and staff of University of Santo Tomas gathered on campus on Friday for this year's much-awaited Paskuhan!
According to Mark Salazar's report on "24 Oras," the annual event featured performances from OPM acts like Sponge Cola, Alamat, and Maki. Paskuhan kicked off with its concert at 3 p.m. and will be closed by a magnificent firework display.
There were also fun activities like carnival games and raffles, as well as free food for UST students.
"It's the most anticipated event of the year po for the Thomasians" a student said.
"Hindi nagkukulang ang UST dahil may Paskuhan, UST is not UST without Paskuhan," another student shared.
At least 42,655 Thomasians flocked to the grand Paskuhan concert on Friday, December 20, 2024.
The number was based on the final crowd count by the Campus Safety and Security Office, according to the school’s student publication 'The Varsitarian.'
"This surpassed the 39,638 attendees tallied in 2023," it noted.
Per the report, Paskuhan is the culmination of UST's month-long Christmas celebration, a tradition that the university has been observing since 1991.
It is also a reward for Thomasians after a month of outreach programs in their community, such as the Paskuhan Community Gift Giving Project, which benefited neighboring barangays, community police, and traffic enforcers.
