'The Witcher 4' releases trailer starring Ciri

"The Witcher 4" just released its first trailer at The Game Awards 2024, and it confirmed Ciri as the protagonist.

According to CD Projekt Red's official description, the game will center on Ciri, as she embarks on her own journey to become a professional monster slayer.

A long-awaited installment in the popular video game series, the upcoming single-player open-world RPG promises to kick off a "new saga." The series previously focused on Geralt of Rivia.

CD Projekt Red is also behind the hit game "Cyberpunk 2077," which won several awards including The Game Award for Best Ongoing Game in 2023.

"The Witcher 4" is a followup to 2015's "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."

Other games in the series include "The Witcher" (2007) and "The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings" (2011). —JCB, GMA Integrated News
