'Newtopia,' starring Blackpink's Jisoo and Park Jeong Min, unveils first look

“Newtopia,” starring Blackpink’s Jisoo and Park Jeong Min, is all set to take us back into an apocalyptic zombie world.

Prime Video just announced that the upcoming series will premiere in the Philippines on  February 7, 2025.

The streaming platform also unveiled first look images.

"Newtopia" follows Lee Jae Yoon (Park Jeong Min), who is undergoing his mandatory military service. He is made as a squad leader when a zombie outbreak happens. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Kang Young Joo (Jisoo) also struggles as a rookie in the workforce. Despite the chaos of the zombie attacks, the two race to be reunited.

Park Jeong Min is best known for his role in “Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet,” in which he won the Best New Actor trophies from the Baeksang Arts Awards and the Blue Dragon Film Awards. He is also known for his award-winning role in “Deliver Us from Evil.”

Meanwhile, Jisoo of Blackpink previously starred in the series “Snowdrop.” She also appeared in “The Producers” and “Arthdal Chronicles.”

Jisoo launched her agency Blissoo in February.
