Masungi Georeserve to hold stargazing events this December
Attention all astrophiles! Get ready to witness the majestic night skies as Masungi Georeserve is set to hold captivating stargazing events this December.
Titled "Celestial Nights: A Christmas Special," the event will start with a guided-30 minute trail hike where hikers will get to "learn about nighttime wonders."
The tour will end on a rock peak where guests will be treated to hot chocolate and holiday meriendas such as bibingka and puto bumbong with stargazing experts narrating their stories about the cosmic realm.
The exclusive stargazing will be held on select dates in December and through early January (December 6 to January 5) with three time slots: 5:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.
Slots are limited and are on a first-come-first-served basis, so better secure your preferred dates early. Those who are interested in joining will have to pay P3,000 per head if going solo, or P2,800 per head for groups of four or more.
Located in Baras, Rizal, Masungi Georeserve is a conservation area, rainforest landscape, and popular hiking destination. It is home to 400 species of flora and fauna, as well as birds, monkeys, lizards, snakes, and many more. The Jurassic Plant, a rare plant that only grows in Luzon, is found in Masungi.
