Lea Salonga sings with 'Sesame Street' cast at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Lea Salonga had a memorable performance with “Sesame Street” at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
 
Although it was raining, the Filipina theater star sang a rendition of “Sing” with the show’s beloved characters like Big Bird, Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, Ernie, and many more.

Lea gushed about the experience on Instagram and said that despite the weather, it “was still such a wonderful highlight!”

“Thank you, Sesame Street, this was truly very special, and thank you for plastering the biggest smile on my child’s face. Nic will not be able to erase that smile for a while!” Lea said.

Lea released her holiday album, “Sounding Joy” this November. It includes a collaboration with Clay Aiken.

In recent months, Lea had a wax figure by Madame Tussauds and had an acclaimed performance in the play, “Request sa Radyo.”
