Floating library returns to Subic this November
The floating library brought by former cruise ship MV Doulos Hope is heading to Subic!
According to Kuya Kim's report in "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, the international floating book fair is currently stationed at Cebu City's Pier 5.
After its Cebu stop, it will return to the Rivera North Wharf in Subic Bay on November 14 to 17 before sailing to Kaohsiung City in Taiwan in December.
The floating library will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m, with an entrance of P50 per person.
Previously, it docked in Subic and Manila earlier this year.
Doulos Hope is the one of the biggest floating libraries and book fairs in the world where guests can choose from over 2,000 book titles available.
Owned by German charity group Gute Bücher für Alle, the floating library aims to bring "literacy and education, cross-cultural cooperation, and social awareness" through the books it carries.
This isn't the first time the floating book fair has visited the Philippines. In 2015, its other cruise ship, Logos Hope, also docked in Manila to hold a three-month book fair.
