CCP to hold 'Children's Biennale: Let's Play' on November 9-10

The Cultural Center of the Philippines will hold the Children's Biennale: Let's Play this November in celebration of National Children's Month.

The arts festival will run from November 9 to 10 at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Makati City, featuring interactive activities and exciting performances perfect for the whole family.

According to the CCP, the event offers a "Pay-What-You-Can" scheme, so it's welcome to everyone!

This year's Children's Biennale will include pre-show activities in the form of six "Interactive Spaces" in the lobby.

Two performances that families should watch for are Jeffrey Ching's "Before Brabant," a contemporary coming-of-age opera and "Mga Kuwento ni Juan Tamad" by Alice Reyes Dance Philippines (ARDP)

"Before Brabant" is about Helyas, a young man on a mission to learn about his real family. The opera features an animated film with live sound, as well as performances by Andion Fernandez, Byeong-In Park, Ervin Lumauag, Stefanie Quintin, and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Maestro Gregorz Nowak.

Meanwhile, "Mga Kuwento ni Juan Tamad" is a performance created specifically for Children's Dance Theater. It is choreographed by Erl Sorilla under the guidance of National Artist for Dance Alice Reyes and ARDP Artistic Director Ronelson Yadao. Music is by Toto Sorioso and production design is by Loy Arcenas.

The shows are suitable for kids four years old and above.

Those interested to watch the performances at the Children's Biennale may register here.
