Norwegian singer Aurora to hold first PH concert in January 2025
Aurora will hold a concert at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on January 31, 2025 — and it will be her first one in the Philippines.
The Norwegian singer made the announcement on social media on Tuesday.
"HELLO PEOPLE. I AM FINALLY COMING BACK! And this time we’ll swoop through Manila, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong AND Singapore! And I am beyond pleased. And excited like a small baby," she wrote.
The "What Happened to the Earth? Part 4" tour is in support of her fifth studio album, released in June 2024.
According to concert promoter Insignia Presents, there will be a presale for Aurora's Manila concert on October 28, 12 p.m., while general ticket sale will be on October 30, 12 p.m. via TicketNet online, box office, and outlets nationwide.
Tickets range from P2,200 for Balcony 2 to P4,300 for VVIP Standing.
Aurora is known for her otherworldly voice and folk- electro pop music style, with songs like "Runaway," "Cure for Me," "Running with the Wolves," "The Seed," and more.
"Into the Unknown," the song she recorded with Idina Menzel and composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez for "Frozen 2," was nominated at the 2019 Academy Awards for Best Original Song and the 2021 Grammy Awards for Best Song Written for Visual Media
Aurora's other albums are "All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend," "Infections of a Different Kind - Step 1," "A Different Kind of Human - Step 2," and "The Gods We Can Touch."
