This festival promises to help you manifest your best selves and your best lives

This festival promises to help you manifest your best lives

"Manifesting" has become so popular on social media these days, with influencers, content creators and even celebrities sharing their stories on how they manifested their dreams.

It's become so popular that an event centered solely on manifesting will take place this weekend.  Manifestival is led by Kimilu, a pioneering life coach in the Philippines who has worked with an estimated 100,000 clients since she began her practice.

According to Kimilu, Manifestival is "the first of its kind in the Philippines." It started in 2022, when she hosted an 111-day program where participants listed 111 things they wanted to manifest.

"Because of the success of their list, we thought we should publish a book about it, and we did. And then we did it again in 2023, so now we are launching the 2nd book at Manifestival," she tells GMA News Online on email.

The book launch is among the activities lined up at Manifestival, which keynote speaker Joan Gallares describes as "an immersive event" that "combines the fun energy of a festival with the depth of a workshop."

According to Joan, there are hands-on activities, interactive stations they call ManifestStations — get it? Get it? — "designed to give attendees practical tools for self-discovery and growth."

Happening on October 19, Manifestival is essentially a two-hour event, with three time slots that you can choose from. The first wave will take place at 11am, the second wave at 1pm and the 3rd wave at 3pm.

"The three waves help manage the number of attendees. This is to make sure everyone has an immersive, intimate experience. Each wave lasts for 2 hours and includes access to all ManifeStations. The center stage will feature different activities during each wave, offering something unique in each session," Joan said.

The activities are really the drawn out version of Kimilu's simple four-step plan of manifesting: Decide what you want, believe it's for you, be grateful, and surrender in inspired action.

According to the certified and licensed practitioner, most people lack consistency in manifesting. "I think it's because we get distracted easily. We want to improve our lives and grow but then we get lost because 'life happens'," she says.

"So the community and the programs that we provide help people have more accountability and it is so nice to be cheered by people who have aligned values as well," Kimilu said.

Manifestival is taking place on Saturday, Oct 19 at the Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in Taguig.
