'Unang Hirit' interpreter delivers swaggy sign language entry to Pablo's 'Butata' dance challenge

The sign language interpreter of "Unang Hirit" is making waves online with his interpretation of SB19 leader Pablo's "Butata!"

On Friday, Jay Joseph, the choreographer behind the song that has now become a hit dance challenge, graced the stage of "Unang Hirit" and gamely showed the groovy dance moves to the audience.

But it wasn't only Jay Joseph and dance group W3 who amazed the viewers with the song's flawless choreography, but also the show's sign language interpreter who appears in the bottom part of the screen!

In a clip shared by one user on TikTok, the interpreter can be seen doing some swaggy dance steps while interpreting the song in sign language.

"Kuya interpreter is slayin' the 'Butata' challenge," the user wrote in the caption.

The TikTok video has now garnered over 15,000 likes and 300 comments with many netizens applauding him for his effort and for promoting inclusivity.

"Ang cute! I hope we can make this trend also. Ang galing kasi we'll learn paano ang 'Butata' sa sign language tapos it'll be more inclusive pa," a netizen said.

"Butata" is among the tracks included in Pablo's latest album "Laon," which he released on September 20.

"Laon" was one of the two albums Pablo released in September. The other was "Alon," which he dropped on September 13.

More of Pablo's songs as a solo artist include "EDSA," "Akala," and "Determinado."

Pablo is one of the coaches in "The Voice Kids Philippines," along with fellow SB19 member Stell, Julie Anne San Jose, and Billy Crawford.
