'My Hero Academia' announces eighth and final season slated for 2025

"My Hero Academia" is set to end in its upcoming eighth season.

The official X account of the anime on Saturday announced that the final season is set to air in 2025.

Kohei Horikoshi concluded the manga in August.

“My Hero Academia” was first serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. It was adapted into anime in 2016.

The story follows Midoriya Izuku, a teenage boy born without a quirk in a superpowered world, in his journey to become the greatest hero in the world.

The anime series is available for streaming on Netflix.

In 2022, it was reported that a live action adaptation was in the works at Netflix.
