Jin of BTS to release full version of 'Super Tuna'
Jin of BTS is finally releasing his first single since his military discharge, and it’s a full version of his catchy song, "Super Tuna!"
The South Korean superstar went live on Weverse to make the announcement of the extended version, which comes with a new cover art and a fresh music video.
In BIGHIT Music's announcement on Weverse, they said, “Get ready for the new and improved ‘Super Tuna,’ which will have your hearts leaping with life once more! We hope this song fills your days with laughter and happiness. Thank you for always cherishing and loving BTS.”
The new version of “Super Tuna” will be available on streaming platforms at 1 p.m. KST on October 11, Friday.
“Super Tuna” is a one-minute song released in 2021, to celebrate Jin’s birthday on December 4.
The song, produced by Jin and fellow HYBE talent Bumzu, had lyrics talking about fishing several different seafood like mackerel, shark, or flatfish—but especially tuna.
“Super Tuna” became an instant viral sensation on Tiktok, featuring choreography that included moves like a swimming fish.
Jin is currently the only active member of BTS following his discharge from military service on June 12.
He will soon be followed by J-Hope, who is set to be discharged from his own military service on October 17.
BTS is set to make a comeback as a full group in 2025 after the rest of the BTS members accomplish their own duties under South Korea’s mandatory military service. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/JCB, GMA Integrated News
