Netflix shares glimpse of live-action Chopper ahead of 'One Piece' Season 2

It's Tony Tony Chopper!

Netflix on Friday gave a glimpse of the much loved "One Piece" character, Chopper, during Geeked Week. The peek was courtesy of Iñaki Godoy, who plays Monkey D. Luffy in the live action adaptation.

In a video posted on X, Iñaki brought fans along to the very first table read of the Season 2 cast, and at the very end, he took viewers to a room.

"Yo, guys, I can't believe who's here to make their debut in Season 2. Look at this," he said, and the camera panned to the inside of the room, where Chopper could be seen working at a desk.

The clip only showed the Chopper's signature red hat and his antlers, but it was enough to hype up fans.

"Oh my God, this is crazy," Iñaki said.

When Netflix first announced "One Piece" Season 2, they confirmed that it will introduce Chopper, everyone's favorite Straw Hat.

Netflix on Friday formally announced Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova to be part of "One Piece" Season 2 as Mr. 0 and Miss All Sunday.

Last month, Charithra Chandra, who played Edwina Sharma in the second season of "Bridgerton," was cast as Miss Wednesday. The same week, Netflix announced the casting of Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, and Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk.

Back in June, they introduced Callum Kerr as Captain Smoker, and Julia Rehwald as Tashigi. As for the other Baroque Works agents, David Dastmalchian will be Mr. 3, Jazzara Jaslyn will be Miss Valentine, Camrus Johnson will be Mr. 5, and, Daniel Lasker will be Mr. 9.

"One Piece" is a live action adaptation of the legendary manga by Eiichiro Oda, which has been running since 1997.

The story follows Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) as he goes on a journey to find the treasure called the One Piece and become King of the Pirates.

Netflix released its live action adaptation in August last year, and it became a huge global hit. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
