'Squid Game' shares thrilling sneak peek at Season 2

Who’s ready for Round 2?

“Squid Game” just dropped a sneak peek for Season 2 and it’s already exciting.

The 46-second clip opens with the main character Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) confronting the game’s overseer, the Front Man, with a gun.

It then cuts to clips of the armed guards in their red suits and masks, and clips of them working on the game in control rooms and various venues.

Gi Hun then wakes up in a bunk bed, wearing his iconic Player 456 green tracksuit, indicating that he is back to playing the game. The players then head out to a field.

“The game will not stop. Are you ready?” the text flashed onscreen.

In August, a video teaser revealed new contestants such as players 124, 380, 390, 388, 007, 044, and 120, among others.

Previously, Netflix announced that there will be two more seasons for "Squid Game," with season two premiering on December 26. The final season is coming in 2025.

According to a statement from Netflix, Season 2 will take place three years after the events of "Squid Game." Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport.

However, the path toward taking down the organization proves to be deadlier than he imagined: to end the game, he needs to re-enter it.

Aside from Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Jun, and Gong Yoo will reprise their roles from Season 1. The new cast members include Yim Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Gyu Young, Lee Jin Uk, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Kang Ae Sim, Lee David, Choi Seung Hyun, Roh Jae Won, Jo Yu Ri, and Won Ji An.

Following the success of the first season, several cast members won top acting awards, and a video game and reality competition were launched.
