‘Squid Game' Season 2 fuels excitement with brutal poster
A poster for “Squid Game” Season 2 has just been released by Netflix, sparking excitement for the much-awaited South Korean dystopian series!
The new poster featured a masked guard in pink uniform dragging a player across a rainbow-colored track splattered with blood. The casualty wore a green tracksuit identifying him as Player 392.
The poster also bore the words: “The game will not stop,” fueling the excitement even more.
“It's almost time to pull you back in,” the caption read.
In August, “Squid Game" Season 2 dropped a teaser featuring the new set of players for its sequel.
The video revealed a couple of new contestants such as Players 124, 380, 390, 388, 007, 044, and 120, among others.
The teaser also reintroduced the role of Lee Jung Jae, who is set to reprise his role as Player 456 or Seong Gi Hun, the winner in the "Squid Game 1."
Previously, Netflix announced that there will be two more seasons for "Squid Game," with the second season premiering on December 26. The final season is coming in 2025.
According to a statement from Netflix, Season 2 will take place three years after the events of "Squid Game." Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport.
However, the path toward taking down the organization proves to be deadlier than he imagined: to end the game, he needs to re-enter it.
Aside from Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Jun, and Gong Yoo will reprise their roles from Season 1 with an impeccable list of new cast members including Yim Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Gyu Young, Lee Jin Uk, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Kang Ae Sim, Lee David, Choi Seung Hyun, Roh Jae Won, Jo Yu Ri, and Won Ji An rounding out the ensemble of colorful characters in the new season.
