'Mickey 17,' directed by Bong Joon Ho and starring Robert Pattinson, releases trailer

We finally get a glimpse of "Parasite" director Bong Joon Ho's next project!

Titled "Mickey 17," the upcoming sci-fi film starring Robert Pattinson is taking us to space.

As seen in the newly released trailer, protagonist Mickey Barnes just wants to get out of Earth, so he signs up to become an "Expendable." It turns out that the job is to die for a living, and each time he dies, they print a brand new copy of his body.

"Mickey 17" also stars Naomi Ackie (“Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker”), Steven Yeun (“Nope”), with Academy Award nominees Toni Collette (“Hereditary”), and Mark Ruffalo (“Poor Things”).

The film will hit cinemas on January 29, 2025.

Pattinson is known for his roles in the iconic "Twilight" saga as Edward Cullen, and as Batman/Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves' "The Batman."

Meanwhile, Bong Joon Ho's 2019 film "Parasite" made history in the 2020 Oscars by winning Best Picture, the first non-English language film to do so. It also won Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
