Sophia of KATSEYE is over the moon about going back home to the Philippines!

The only Filipino member of the new HYBE girl group shared a handwritten letter to Filo EYEKONS in their newsletter, saying that they are “so excited” about their trip to the country.

“Hindi na ako makapaghintay na makauwi at makita ang lahat ng Filipino EYEKONS,” Sophia said with hand-drawn hearts.

“I'm so excited to see my family, eat home-cooked food, and fulfill my dream of performing at home,” she added.

She said that the visit is going to be "an adventure."

"Sana makita kita doon! Mahal na mahaaal kita!!!” she added, and signed, “Love, Sophia.”

KATSEYE will be in the Philippines from September 17 to 19. They will be having a fan showcase titled, KATSEYE: Touchdown in Manila, on September 18 at 6 p.m. at Ayala Malls Market! Market! in Taguig City.

Sophia from the Philippines, Daniela, Lara, and Megan from the USA, Manon from Switzerland, and Yoonchae from South Korea debuted as KATSEYE in late June.

Sophia Laforteza was the only Filipino contestant on the reality show "The Debut: Dream Academy," and is the first Filipino artist under HYBE, the same agency that manages global artists like BTS, Tomorrow X Together, Seventeen, Enhypen, NewJeans, and many more.

Katseye released their debut EP, “SIS (Soft Is Strong),” on August 16. It includes the viral hits, “Touch” and “Debut.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
