Heart Evangelista 'sends love' to Yoda the aspin

Heart Evangelista has sent her love to Yoda, the aspin who was turned away from Balay Dako.

On Instagram Stories, the Kapuso celebrity posted a photo of her own aspin Panda, wrote "Aspin Society Elite President Panda Ongpauco Escudero," and tagged Panda's IG account, which she runs.

"Sending love to 'Yoda'," she added.

The latest post on Panda's IG account features the aspin surrounded by pillows and an LV blanket, with a caption that read, "Anong walang breed???! Mas may breeding pa ako sa Inyo ha. Loka mga to. Hello sa mga kasali sa Aspin Society Elite."

In the comment section, Heart said "Invite mo na anak si Yoda for high tea!"

Yoda is the aspin who turned viral after its human complained about being turned away from Balay Dako on Sunday.

According to Lara, the Tagaytay restaurant didn't allow them inside the premises because Yoda, who weighs 18 kilograms, is heavier than the restaurant's allowable weight for dogs, which staff told her was 10-15kg.

She also mentioned the restaurant questioning Yoda's breed.

"I have a weird gut feeling immediately, so instead of Aspin, I [said] 'mixed breed'. I've dealt with this before. I know this, and as annoying as it is, 'mixed breed' is more palatable to elitist establishments like Balay Dako," she said.

In their statement, Balay Dako said they "sincerely apologize for the recent misunderstanding" on their pet policy.

While they love animals, the restaurant said they "must also consider factors such as spacing and the safety of all our guests."

"We are currently reviewing our policy to ensure it is clear, fair, and balances the needs of both pet owners and non-pet owners," the statement read.
