Marvel celebrates 85th aniversary

It's been 85 years of superheroes and adventures at Marvel.

On X, the publishing company celebrated the milestone with a tribute video that showcased its beloved characters, from comic books to box office hits.

"For 85 years, our stories have connected us," the video said. "We've only just begun."

The video featured iconic heroes such as  Spider-Man, the Avengers, X-Men, the Fantastic Four — and of course, their creator, Stan Lee.

"I've always tried to do stories that the characters have human qualities everyone can relate to," Lee said. "And of course, I can't leave without saying, Excelsior!"

Marvel's latest offering is the film "Deadpool & Wolverine," which has become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time at the global box office.

Other legendary movies under Marvel's belt include "Spider-Man: No Way Home," "Avengers: Infinity War," "Avengers: Endgame," and "Black Panther."
