SB19 and BINI pose for photo together at Billboard K Power 100 in Seoul
SB19 and BINI linked up in Seoul, South Korea for the Billboard K Power 100 on Thursday.
The two forces of P-Pop posed for a photo together during soundcheck. Both groups were performers at the event, having been chosen by Billboard Philippines.
Billboard K Power 100 served as the launching of Billboard Korea, and an event to highlight the influence of Korean music on the global scene. It was held on August 27 at the Yeong Bin Gwan Hall of The Shilla Seoul.
SB19 brought a fiery performance of their top hit “Gento.” Meanwhile, BINI made audiences dance with their chart-topper, “Cherry on Top.”
The groups are also recipients of the special award, Voices of Asia. According to Billboard Philippines, this “will honor their groundbreaking contributions to Filipino music and their unwavering championing of P-pop on the global stage.”
In an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday, SB19 said they are proud of BINI’s success.
Josh said that they feel happy that more and more people are paying attention to P-pop and P-pop groups.
"Masayang masaya po kami na parang na-co-consider na talaga 'yung P-pop and, of course, 'yung mga groups na 'yan, kasi deserve po talaga nila," he said.
SB19 won the Billboard Fan Army Face-Off 2024 on Friday morning. They were also the first cover stars of Billboard Philippines in 2023, and the first Filipino artists to be nominated for Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards in 2021.
Meanwhile, BINI is fresh from their performance at this year’s KCON LA, held early this month.
The ladies are all set to have the two-night Grand BINIverse concert at the Araneta Coliseum on November 16 and 17.
