Spotify, Crunchyroll offer curated playlists on newly launched 'Global Anime Hub'


Spotify and Crunchyroll launch Spotify Global Anime Hub

Your favorite anime tracks just became more accessible!

Spotify has teamed up with Crunchyroll for its Global Anime Hub, which offers listeners a dedicated shelf and a bunch of specially curated playlists.

The hub features playlists like “Anime Now,” “Anime On Replay” and “Women of Anime,” complete with bespoke playlist covers.  

To access this new feature, simply search “Anime” on Spotify.

According to Spotify, the global streams of anime music in its platform have skyrocketed by 395% since 2021.

In the Philippines, streams of anime almost tripled with more than 339,838 anime music playlists on Spotify.

Among the songs included in the new playlists are "Curtain Call" by Yuuri, the opening song for "My Hero Academia" Season 7, "Suzume" by RADWIMPS and Toaka from Makoto Shinkai's latest film "Suzume," and "Never Break Down" by Yuta Bandoh, The Kaiju Band, and Leo Imai from the "Kaiju No.8" soundtrack.

There are also playlists for specific anime generations, from the classics to the 2000s. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
