Lara Croft goes on new adventures in 'Tomb Raider' anime trailer

Lara Croft shines in the spotlight as she gets her very own anime series at Netflix.

The streaming giant on Monday released the teaser trailer for "Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft," which is set to premiere on October 10.

In the teaser, the badass video game icon goes on a slew of brand new adventures, from rappelling and wall running, to fighting with enemies.

"How much longer can you persevere?" the voiceover ominously asks.

"Tomb Raider" is a video game franchise following the adventures of archaeologist and treasure hunter Lara Croft, who travels around the world in search of artifacts. It birthed spin-off games, comics, and feature films.

In February, a remastered edition of the original "Tomb Raider" trilogy — "Tomb Raider I" (1996), "Tomb Raider II" (1997), and "Tomb Raider III" (1998) — was released.

Meanwhile, a live-action "Tomb Raider" is in the works at Prime Video. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
