'Hunter x Hunter' manga to release new issue this October after latest hiatus

"Hunter x Hunter" is returning to print!

The manga has been on another hiatus for over a year, but Shueisha announced on a Jump Press livestream that a new installment will be released on October 7.

This upcoming issue marks the first update since December 2022, which was when creator Yoshihiro Togashi said that future issues of his manga would be released irregularly due to health problems.

"Hunter x Hunter" was first serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump in 1998. Starting 2006, Togashi has gone on hiatus several times, the longest of which lasting for four years.

The story follows Gon, a young boy from Whale Island, who dreams of becoming a Hunter like his father. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
