Jin of BTS kicks off his variety show 'Run Jin' with a hiking adventure
"Run Jin" is officially here!
BTS member Jin launched his very own variety show with a hiking episode. Five days after his discharge from the South Korean military, the singer hiked for hours to reach the summit of Mt. Hallasan in Jeju Island.
In true Jin fashion, he was hilarious the whole way through, saying that he "wrongly thought I could just do everything."
"How arrogant I was. We should change our theme from 'I can do anything' but to 'should we try something at least?'" he joked.
However, once he reached the top, he couldn't help but get teary-eyed.
"This is magnificent. A beautiful sight. Wow, I did it. Can't believe I'm looking at Baengnokdam five days after my discharge," he said.
The end credits promised more funny episodes of the show.
"Run Jin" is a variant of BTS' long-running variety show "Run BTS."
Like "Run BTS," the new show releases new episodes on Tuesdays.
Jin has been busy since he was discharged on June 12 after serving in the military for 18 months.
He led this year's Festa, the annual month-long celebration of BTS' anniversary, with performances and a hug event. He also graced the cover of W Korea magazine.
Last month, he flew to Paris and participated in the 2024 Olympic Games as South Korea's torchbearer.
In a recent interviews, he said he is hard at work on his solo album. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
